Prayer prompt for Wednesday, July 16

I pray that we are never forced to choose between our lives or our faith, but sober our hearts today, Lord, and remind us of your sacrifice.

Prayer prompts for Sun-Tue, July 6-8

(Sunday) Like the pages in my passport that show where I’ve traveled, remind me, Lord, that you know all of my comings and goings.

(Monday) Like the heart-shaped stamp on my driver’s license that says I’m an organ donor, let my life show the world that my heart is yours, Lord.

(Tuesday) We may not all have seminary degrees, but every believer can be a minister. Who needs to see Christ through your life today?

Ask God to impress upon your heart if there’s someone you need to forgive and if you need to ask forgiveness from someone. Then, act on it.

Do you hold grudges? Ask the Lord today for a heart like Joseph’s – one that sees beyond the present hurt and recognizes his plan.

The Bible says that Pharaoh’s heart was hardened. Spend time today thinking about the calluses on your own heart; ask God to soften them.

Think about a habit today concerning your attitude (positive or negative). Will you be vulnerable & ask God to speak truth to your heart?

We can sometimes hide our disappointment with other people, but God knows our hearts. Be honest with him today about what’s on your mind.

Think about all of the self-congratulatory speeches we hear at special events. In contrast, Jesus skipped the fluff and talked to the heart.

Pray about your schedule & to-do list today, asking God how he wants you to trust him throughout the day. Let your heart listen.
