I love the story of John the Baptist, but it also gives me pause. He did everything God called him to do, and it required his very life.

Prayer prompt for Thursday, Feb. 11

Think about an area of your life that looks totally different today from how you pictured it years ago, and praise God for his plan for you.

Why do we bother trying to hide things from the Lord? Didn’t we learn our lesson from the garden story in Genesis? Own up to your choices.

Think about a “rock bottom” experience in your life. What spiritual lessons did you learn from it? Did it strengthen your faith or shake it?

When life knocks you down & you feel broken, does it make you bitter, or do you turn to the Lord during those times of frustration?

What is there to fear?
Most folks dread turning 40,
but not Yours Truly.

Another decade:
maturity, life lessons …
made me who I am.
