Isaiah 61:3 tells how the prophet exchanged a “spirit of despair” for a “garment of praise” (NIV). God is worthy of our praise 24/7!

Prayer prompt for Friday, Oct. 10

Take some time today to simply thank God in prayer for his many blessings. Try to avoid asking for anything; just praise him & offer thanks.

Spot something outdoors today, and thank God for his genius. A cloud shaped like a dinosaur? A bird song? All of creation sings his praises!

Have you ever received a compliment that you knew was just empty flattery? Let’s not do that in our praise & worship of God.

When we read about Jesus’ “triumphal entry” into Jerusalem, he didn’t seem to care much for accolades. He cares about whether we know him.

Instead of dwelling on the things that God hasn’t “fixed” in your life, spend time today praising & thanking him for all the things he has!
